When I Update My Website, Why Don't I See the Changes Immediately?

It's usually not that the update didn't take effect – it did. You just might not be able to see itl

Sometimes, after updates are made to your website, you might still see the old version instead of the new changes. This usually happens because your browser is showing you a cached version of the site — basically, a saved copy that helps pages load faster. While this speeds things up, it can also prevent you from seeing the most up-to-date version.

To fix this:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
This forces your browser to fetch the newest version of your website from the server instead of using the old, saved copy.

  2. Try a hard refresh (on most browsers, that's Cmd + Shift + R on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows).
This can sometimes clear the cache for a single page without wiping all your browsing data.

  3. Try visiting your site in a private/incognito window.
This gives you a fresh, un-cached view of the website without logging you out of everything else.

  4. Try clearing your website cache.
