While we do host and update some pre-existing websites, we consider each one on an individual basis.
We often get asked if we can jump in and help with an existing website that wasn’t originally built by our team. The short answer is: it depends.
Each website is unique, especially when it comes to WordPress. Some sites are clean, current, and well-structured. Others may be using outdated themes, unsupported plugins, or heavily customized features that can introduce compatibility or security risks. In those cases, even making small updates can lead to breakage if the foundation isn't stable.
Before we can commit to working on your existing WordPress site, we need to do a quick audit. This allows us to:
-
Review your site’s current theme, plugin stack, and WordPress version
-
Check for deprecated tools or unsupported code
-
Look at any custom functionality that could impact future updates
-
Identify potential red flags that may affect performance or security
This audit helps us understand what we're working with and determine whether we can safely and effectively support your site. If your site is in good shape or only needs minor cleanup, we may be able to take it on. If not, we’ll let you know and can recommend alternative paths, such as a rebuild or selective upgrade.
If you'd like us to evaluate your existing WordPress site, just submit a ticket and we’ll take a look. Please allow 48 hours for us to respond.
